Betty York Johnson, age 72, of 1537 Academy Rd. Ext., Franklinville died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Whites Memorial Baptist Church, 2930 Whites Memorial Rd., Franklinville with Rev. Jeff Joyce and Rev. Arlen Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. Johnson was a native of Randolph County and was a member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Franklin Johnson; sons, James Johnson and his wife Teresa Johnson of Franklinville, NC, Todd Johnson and his wife Rita Routh Johnson of Franklinville, NC; step grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Fields, David Ethan Fields, Heather Nicole Kinney, Michael Dean Kinney; and sister, Janet Millikan of Franklinville, NC.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
