Virginia Burkhart Teague

Virginia L. Burkhart Teague, age 85, of 852-A Windemere Ct. in Asheboro died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Ms. Teague was born June 17, 1923 in Sanford, NC the daughter of William and Ora Robbins Ledwell. Ms. Teague was a native of Lee County, a member of Sawyersville Wesleyan Church and she was retired from Burlington Sock. In addition to her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her husbands, Hobert Burkhart and Rev. Paul Teague. She is survived by daughters: Katheryn Carol B. Smith and Martha Wright both of Asheboro; 6 grandchildren and12 great grandchildren; brother: William "Bill" Ledwell of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro other times at the home of her daughter Katheryn, 403 Poplar St. in Asheboro. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Rabon and Rev. Gene Schenck officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Hephzibah Children's Home, 6601 Zebulon Rd., Macon, GA 31220.
