Pearce Burkhart

Raymond Pearce Burkhart, age 48, of Asheboro died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his home.Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11:00 am at Balfour Baptist Church. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.Mr. Burkhart was a native of Randolph County and a 1979 graduate of Asheboro High School. He was a very giving, caring and jovial person who enjoyed crocheting and made baby caps, afghans and blankets for newborns of family members and friends. Mr. Burkhart was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jim" and Frances Pearce Burkhart. He is survived by his sister, Lynn B. Perry of Trinity; nephew, Henry James Perry of Archdale; aunts, Bonnie Davenport and her husband, Stephen of Asheboro, Edna Heath of Greensboro, Lucy Parrish of Greensboro, Betty Poole of Asheboro, Louise Hayes and her husband, Denver of Asheboro, NC and several cousins.The family will receive friends Friday, February 13, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
