Mary Jo Liverett Hancock, age 65, of 2765 Love Joy Rd., Troy died Monday, February 2, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.Mrs. Hancock was born May 28, 1943 in Cleveland County, NC, the daughter of Boyce Liverett and Oma (Dalton) Liverett. She was a former employee of Troy Drapery Corp. She is survived by her husband: James S. Hancock of the home; three daughters: Donna Thompson and Mary Duncan, both of Troy, Brenda Grant of Laurinburg; two sons: James R Hancock of Troy, Jerry S Hancock of Las Vegas, NV; one sister: Nancy Vandergrilt of Jacksonville, FL; one brother: Guy Liverett of Thomasville; two step-sons: John Hancock and Sam Hancock, both of Troy; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home.
