Susie Bell Chandler

Susie Bell Wingard Davis Chandler, 92, born in Shiro, TX on February 29, 1916, went to be with her Lord on February 1, 2009 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur. She is preceded in death by her husbands Edward Davis and Don Chandler, her sons Jerry L Davis and Charles Davis and grandson Charles Edward Davis Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Delores Cox and husband Wayne of Asheboro, NC and brother Charles E. "Red" Wingard of Shiro, TX, and a dear family friend, Suzanne Holmes of Ft Worth, TX. She has 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Susie was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church, Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2008, and at other times at the home of Wayne and Delores Cox in Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 1-2 P.M. at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, TX. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Ft Worth, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cross Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 1566 Old Cox Road, Asheboro, NC 27203.
