Mrs. Ruby Parks Gallimore, 77, of Asheboro, passed away January 25, 2008, at Randolph Memorial Hospital, after a period of declining health.
She was a homemaker and a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Ruby was born September 17, 1930, in Ramseur, North Carolina, to the late Mr. Joe J. Parks and Mrs. Inez M. Parks. Ruby Gallimore was a 1948 graduate of Ramseur High School, and graduated from King`s Business College in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Harlan Gallimore; three sons, HR Gallimore and wife Vickie, of Asheboro; Dan Gallimore of Winston-Salem; and Ken Gallimore and wife Bridget, of Asheboro; four grandchildren, Brian, Sarah Beth, and Kevin Parks Gallimore, of Asheboro. Erin Gallimore Hinson and husband John, of Cary. Surviving also is a sister, Betty Parks Woodard and husband James.
In addition to her parents, two sisters, an infant sister, Aurella Parks and an elder sister, Ellen Parks Cox, preceded Ruby in death.
Visitation with family will be on Sunday, January 27, 2008, 7-9 p.m., at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2008, at Parks Cross Roads Christian Church in Ramseur, followed by an interment ceremony at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruby`s memory to the Parks Cross Roads Cemetery Fund, 1995 Parks Crossroads Church Rd., Ramseur, NC 27316
