Hessie Sams Ivey

Hessie Sams Ivey, 91, of Central Falls Road, Asheboro, died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Elder Ralph Gaines officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. She was a native of Stokes County, NC, a homemaker, and attended Rock Hill Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Worth Ivey. Surviving are son, William W. Ivey and his wife Annette of Asheboro and daughter Nancy I. Hammer of Asheboro; four grandchildren, Sherry McAllister of Franklinville, Jay Hammer of Asheboro, Burke Ivey of Jamestown, and Brad Ivey of Greensboro; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave, Asheboro from 6 to 8 PM Monday, January 21, 2008 and at other times at the home of her son, William W. Ivey, 1542 Old Lexington Road, Asheboro.
