Shirley Andrews Shaw

Shirley Andrews Shaw, age 58, of 4580 Old Edgar Rd., Sophia died Friday, September 14, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Shaw was born November 4, 1948 the daughter of Clifton and Carol (Whidden) Andrews. Shirley was a native of High Point and employed as an administrative assistant for Randolph County Schools for nearly 30 years. She was active in Midway Wesleyan Church of Randleman where she sang in the choir, played hand bells, attended the Gleaner Sunday School Class and participated in the Wesleyan Women. She was the Relay for Life Coordinator for the Randolph County School Central Offices. Shirley was a dedicated, loyal, and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father Clifton Andrews and one brother, Bill Andrews. She is survived by her husband: James Jim Shaw; daughter: Tracy S. Parrish of Randleman, NC; daughter and her husband, Kim And David Hockett of Salisbury, NC; grandson, Chance Parrish; granddaughter, Salem Hockett; granddaughter, Abbey Hockett; grandson, Eli Hockett; one brother: Jerry Andrews of Maiden, NC; sister-in-law Virgie Andrews of Randleman, NC; sister-in-law and her husband, Pam And Rick Beane of High Point, NC The family will receive friends Sunday, September 16, 2007 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro and other times at the home of her mother, 4602 Old Edgar Road, Sophia, NC. The funeral will be Monday, September 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Midway Wesleyan Church, 331 Worthville Rd., Randleman with Rev. J. Arnold Luther officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
