Robert Sidney Cashatt

Robert Sidney Cashatt, age 74, of 5665 Davis Country Rd., Randleman died Monday, September 10, 2007 at his home. Mr. Cashatt was the son of James and Etta Pierce Cashatt. Mr. Cashatt was a native of Randolph County and served in the U.S Navy. He was a dairy farmer and owner of H and M Grocery and Hardware. Mr. Cashatt was a member of Cedar Square Friends Meeting and a strong supporter of the youth and other activities throughout his community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Doris Davis Cashatt. Two daughters: Cathy Cashatt Wilkins and husband Dennis of Sophia, Ellen Cashatt Cooper and husband Clay of Sophia and one son: Davis Cashatt and wife Alisa of Randleman. Grandchildren, Poppy Wilkins Cox and husband David, Jason Wilkins and wife Amber, Heather Cashatt Wright and husband Jason, and Zackary Cashatt. Great grandchildren, Sidney Ann Cox and Andrew Cox. Brothers: Elmer Cashatt and wife Bobbie, Arvel Cashatt and wife Mildred, and Clinton Cashatt and wife Annie. Sisters: Hazel Lowe and husband Oscar, Pearl Hunt, Rosie Austin and husband Nolan, Christine Tucker and husband Billy.; Brother-in-law, Sid Bailey; Sister-in-law, Juanita Cashatt. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 11, 2007 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman and other times at the home. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday,September 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Square Friends Meeting, 7546 Harlow Road, Archdale with Rev. Eric Woods and Rev. Ben Hurley officiating.
