Cecelia Story Walker

Cecelia Story Walker age 75, of Asheboro died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Walker was born January 24, 1946, in Asheboro, the daughter of Cecil W. Story and Mary Slack Story. Cecelia was a Special Education Teacher's Assistant. A former Sunday School teacher, she was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Rev. Calvin "Mitchell" Walker, one daughter: Terri Chaney of Lawrenceville, GA and four sons: Dennis (Kim) Walker, Scott (Sherry) Walker, and Andy (Jennifer) Walker all of Asheboro, NC and Matt Walker of San Diego, CA,, three sisters: Lurlene Millikan and Tina (Harold) Hopkins both of Asheboro, NC, and Lynn (Pat) Walker of Cary, NC, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Linda Baldwin and brother, Larry Story. The funeral will be Wednesday, July 7th at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Jeff Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Grays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Franklinville.
