Kathy Marie Maness Humble

Kathy Marie Maness Humble, 67, of Seagrove, NC, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Randolph Hospital. She was a native of Randolph County, born to Thada and Howard Maness of Seagrove, NC. She was a graduate of Southwestern Senior High School. Kathy recently retired from Klaussner Furniture of Asheboro, NC, as a Lead person following 43 years of service. Kathy served as Past President of the Seagrove Jaycees and was awarded one of the top 5 Local Presidents of the Year by the North Carolina Jaycees. She was very dedicated to serving the community for all ages, from Youth Basketball to the Senior Citizens events. Kathy was well known for raising and showing full blooded show dogs. She raised Shar Peis, Chocolate Labs, Great Danes and even cared for many of stray four-legged love ones. Her love for them was unmeasurable. Kathy was preceded in death by both her father, Howard Maness and her mother, Thada Maness. Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Thomas "Ray" Humble of the home, beloved son, Yancy McLaughlin of Asheboro, beloved daughters, Ella and her husband, Jack Kern of Star, Ada McNeill of Seagrove, and Cozzie York of Seagrove, one brother, Michael Maness of Asheboro, two sisters, Pam and her husband, Robert Hayes of Seagrove, and Doris Butcher of Asheboro, 11 grandchildren, Taylor McLaughlin, Cynthia Freeman, Justin Hamlett, Dalton Hamlett, Paige Kern, Haley Welch, Bailey Welch, Kane Wilson, Kayley McNeill, Dylan York and Savanah York, 5 great grandchildren, Camlynn Freeman, JJ Hamlett, Peyton Jordan, Jayin Hamlet, Jaysek Hamlett and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 -1:00 pm prior to the graveside service on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm at New Hope Memorial Gardens, 3448 New Hope Church Road, Asheboro, NC 27205 with Rev.
