Norma Jean Hurley Jarrell

d. April 19, 2020

Norma Jean Hurley Jarrell passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 at home surrounded by her children after a brief illness. Born on Oct 20, 1966 in Troy NC to Homer and Dorothy (Tudy) Blalock Hurley. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Robert and Jewell Blalock and paternal grandparents Charlie and Alice Hurley, and her fur baby "Gizmo" who will continue the journey with her. Norma was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She grew up in the Seagrove area and attended Seagrove Elementary and Southwestern Randolph High School. She worked at CCP in quality control for over 20 years. Her love of Oak Island was witnessed by her yearly beach trips and trips to Grandfather Mountain when the weather turned cooler. She enjoyed breakfast with her friends from work each month and shopping for handbags every occasion she could. But most of all she loved spending time on her yearly vacation with her grandchildren and doing things like riding in helicopters or going to the aquarium. She was the youngest of three siblings. So close in age to her brother Roy, that the two of them always seemed to be into something as children which continued throughout their adult lives. She is survived by daughters Jennifer Loughran (Bryan) of Virginia, Ashley Sanders (Matt) of Asheboro, son Justin Sanders of Asheboro. Grandchildren Bailey Loughran, Allison Loughran, Mckenna Loughran, Harlin Hunsucker and Ric-Anthony Riccardella. Sister Marsha Hurley Coble (Terry) of Asheboro and brother Roy Hurley (Sonya) of Asheboro. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to list but never forgotten. At this time, the service will be private with just immediate family. A Celebration of Life will be held later for extended family and friends. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the family.
