Tomi (Judy) Sato Goins

Randleman - Tomi (Judy) Sato Goins, age 91, of Randleman passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Goins was born March 10, 1929 the daughter of J. Sato and Sato Sato. Mrs. Goins was a native of Akita, Japan and formerly employed with Acme-McCrary for many years. She retired from Asheboro City Schools as a custodian with Guy B. Teachey School. Although, Mrs. Goins had no children of her own, she was known as, "Grandma Tomiko" and "Ms. Tomi" to her friends. She was one of eight children and was very much loved. Tomi was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Billy Goins. She is survived by close friends and caretakers: Cindy and Gralen Cranford of Randleman, NC and honorary grandchildren: Gra Cranford and Marcella, Mitchell, and Macie-Leigh Storie. She will always be remembered for her kind and loving nature as well as her positive attitude. Her constant smile warmed our days and reminded us of all the blessings in our lives. A memorial service will be held later this year to honor Mrs. Tomi Goins.
