Paul William Stevens, Sr. age 86, of Asheboro passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Stevens was born in Randolph County on April 13, 1933 to Charlie Clark and Ednora Bell Stevens. Paul served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly employed with Burlington Industries and retired as a custodian with the Randolph County School System. Paul was a member of AMVETS #905 and American Legion Post 45. He was a former member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Stevens, daughter, Yvonne Canada, granddaughter, Keisha Long, brother, Joseph D. Stevens, and sister, Ruby Jennings.
He is survived by sons, Andre Stevens (Angela) of Indiana, Jeffrey Stevens (Lisa) of Lexington, and Paul Stevens, Jr. (Karen) of South Carolina; daughters, Angela Gallimore (Ricky) of Denton and Kimberly Richardson (Lyndon) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Chris Howell, Chan Howell, Brett Stevens, Randy Stevens, Chad Stevens, Amanda Stevens, Stevens Richardson, and Anna Gibbons; and great grandchildren, Maximus, Marshall, Major, Duke, Rus, Trader, Hunter, Ashton, Abigail, Beckham, Decker, Dixie, Daisy, Colt, Emerson, Lawson, and Payson.
Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
