Norma Marie Watson Cox

Norma Marie Watson Cox, age 83, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Cox was born in Randolph County on August 12, 1936 to Thomas Howard Watson and Audrey Williams Allred. She was a 1954 graduate of Asheboro High School. Norma was retired from Acme-McCrary after 48 years of service. She was a member of First E & R United Church of Christ. Norma enjoyed working in her wildflowers. She loved her grandchildren and being involved in their school activities. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Tom Moore. She is survived by her husband, Grady Cox; daughter, Beverly Cox Davis and husband Steven of Huntersville; son, Jeff Cox and wife Pam of Wilmington; grandchildren, Rachel Johnson and husband Charles, Adam Cox and wife Holly, Erin Davis, Jordan Davis, and Taylor Davis; great grandchild, Owen Johnson; and sister, Dink Reaves and husband Hal Reaves of Pinehurst. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at First E & R United Church of Christ, 221 Cliff Road in Asheboro with Rev. Dave Cash officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A private interment with family will be held. Memorials may be made to First E & R United Church of Christ, P.O.
