Margaret Ann McConkey Bareis

Margaret Ann McConkey Bareis, age 83, of Asheboro passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Bareis was born April 16, 1936 in Bloomington, IL to Laurell and Frances Hanlin McConkey. Mrs. Bareis was a lecturer for Weight Watchers, Inc. for 30 years. She enjoyed a lifetime of sewing, playing bridge, and Duke basketball. She is survived by her children, Steve Bareis and wife Janet of Rogers, AR, Laurie West and husband Charlie of Asheboro, and Lisa Pitts of Durham; 8 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild; 5 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild. A celebration of life family gathering will take place at a later time in Fayetteville, NC. Thank you to all who touched her life.
