Ruth Brady Nance

Ruth Brady Nance, age 94, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Mrs. Nance was born in Bennett, NC on March 6, 1925 to Fred and Lillie Poole Brady. She was formerly employed with Belk's, Tobias, and Acme-McCrary. Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church where she loved being a part of the Jubilees. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Don Nance, and daughters, Kathy Garner and Donna Nance. Ruth was an avid sports fan, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Nance Hunt of Asheboro and Sue Nance King and husband Mark of Asheboro; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and brother, Billy Brady and wife Helen of Newport News, VA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynda Ferguson and Rev. Edward Ramsey officiating. Burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery.
