Elizabeth Anne "Beth" Cornwell Page, age 86, of Asheboro passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Cross Road Retirement Community.

Mrs. Page was born in Lincolnton, NC to Dr. Abner Milton and Mary Anne Newcomb Cornwell. She graduated from UNC-G with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Physical Education with a Minor in Art. Beth taught upper elementary school, then became the 7th grade Art teacher at Fayetteville Street School until it closed in 1968. Until her retirement she operated the retail outlet store at P&P Chair Company, working along side of Bill, her beloved husband of 55 years. Beth was a member of First United Methodist Church in Asheboro. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting with watercolors. She also designed and created beautiful handmade quilts and children's sweaters. Throughout her life, Beth greeted all she met with kindness, acceptance, and belief in the good in everyone. Her unconditional love, encouragement and support was always present for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in whom she delighted. She loved and enjoyed her dear girl friends. Her home was always a warm and welcoming place where not only her children, but several of their friends saw her as a second mom.

In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Page, Jr. and her brother, Abner Milton Cornwell, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Page and husband Jim Brentnell of Greensboro; son, William "Billy" C. Page III and wife Betty of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jeremy Page and wife Jennifer of Asheboro, Jonathan Brentnell and wife Kelli of Salisbury, Laura Brentnell of Winston-Salem, and Jenny McManus and husband Ben of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Austin Page, Avery Page, Abigail Page, and Ashleigh Page of Asheboro, and Walt Brentnell of Salisbury; brother-in-law, Wade "Tuck" Page of Asheboro; sister-in-law Nancy Cornwell of Wadesboro, and several dear nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason and Chaplain Bernie Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
