Ruby Pauline Cagle Bowers, age 90, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Alamance Healthcare Center in Burlington. 

Mrs. Bowers was born September 2, 1927 in Anson County to James and Grace Honeycutt Cagle. She was a member of First E & R Church of Christ and was retired from Asheboro City Schools.  In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford W. Bowers, daughter, Joan Brower, and sisters, Faye Baker and Lucille Clayton.

She is survived by her sons, Donnie (Susan) Bowers of Graham, Michael (Tonya) Bowers of Asheboro; grandchildren, Chase (Ron) Law, Eric Bowers, Lindsay (Brian) Rogers, Katie Bowers, Scott (Rena) Brower; great grandchildren, Hudson Rogers, Holt Rogers, and Chloe Law; sister, Catherine Brady; brother, James (Betty Sue) Cagle.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 12:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
