Raymond Glenn DeLooze II

d. May 3, 2018

Raymond Glenn DeLooze II, husband to Brenda G. DeLooze, father to Raymond Glenn DeLooze III, Kimberley Jean DelVuo, Kristan Elizabeth Kanyuch, and Karin Allison Hahn, grandfather to 13 grandchildren (preceded in death by 1 grandchild) and great-grandfather to 3 great-grandchildren and sibling to Marylin Tillman (preceded in death), Earl DeLooze, Karl DeLooze (preceded in death), Karen George and David DeLooze and the son of Raymond Glenn DeLooze & Virgina Treulieb has been called by the Lord on May 3, 2018.

He was a distinguished Naval Seabee honorably serving our Country during the Vietnam War.  He loved to play the guitar, harmonicas and the organ/keyboard.  He was an avid bass fisherman.  Ray was published in multiple fishing magazines under the pen name of Bassackwards.  He was an accomplished artist realistically creating paintings of his beloved bass and wildlife.   Before being physically limited from illness he enjoyed square dancing, bass fishing, roller skating and playing harmonica with a group in town.  He enjoyed playing strategic games such as chess and backgammon and enjoyed the challenge of playing online with opponents.  His love of the computer allowed him to stay socially active through Skype and social media.

Pugh Funeral Home will be handling his cremation and funeral arrangements.  Raymond often said came in as ashes, go out as ashes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:30 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 505 South Park Street in Asheboro (336-625-4263) with Rev. Doug Hefner officiating.
