Obituary of Hilda Lineberry
Hilda Ingold Lineberry, age 94, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Lineberry was born in Montgomery County on July 6, 1923 to Rev. G.C. and Bessie Ingold. Hilda was a homemaker and a member of Central Falls Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn M. Lineberry, grandson, Thomas Phillip Waugh, Jr., sisters, Vernice Melton and Myrtle Nixon, brothers, Torrence Ingold, C.R. Ingold, and Merrill Ingold. Hilda loved doing for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a quiet, humble lady who spent her life helping and doing for others.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful and caring nurses and CNA's at the Randolph Hospice House, and to her caregivers, Alfred, Darcy, Glenda, Jenny, Jennie, Krista, Lucy, and Phillip.
She is survived by her daughter, Vivian Owens and husband Danny of Asheboro; grandchildren, Chris Waugh and wife Angela of Wilmington, Phillip Waugh and wife Jennie of Liberty, Christie Drumwright and husband Gordon of Asheboro, and Chad Owens of Wilmington; great grandchildren, Lauren Burrell of Raleigh, Hallie Burrell of Wilmington, Vance and Alyssa Waugh of Liberty, Jackson and Isabel Drumwright of Asheboro, Amber and Kayla Leonard of Wilmington, and Zach Koontz and wife Kyla of Raleigh; great great grandchild, Nora Smith of Wilmington; sister, Wanda Thompson of Asheboro; several loving nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 29, 2017 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of her daughter, 1345 Old Liberty Road in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
