Obituary of Mary King
Mary Frances Lucas King, age 84, of Asheboro died Saturday, October 20, 2017 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 12:00-1:45 PM at Cross Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 PM at Cross Road Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny R. Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
A native of Randolph County, Mrs. King was born March 20, 1933. Mrs. King was a graduate of Seagrove High School. She was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School class and their retirement community.
She retired from Black and Decker, where she had been a supervisor (line leader).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady; her father and mother, Jonah and Laura Ester Lucas; and by her brother and three sisters.
Mrs. King was a loving wife, cherished mother and grandmother. She leaves a legacy of Christian service to others. She loved reading, working in her yard, and visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Alice Lee King of Sykesville, MD and grandsons, David and Michael King also of Sykesville, MD.
