James Carlton Routh

James Carlton (Jimmy) Routh age 73, of Climax died Friday, November 6, 2015 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Routh was born February 21, 1942 in Randolph County the son of Howard and Sadie Routh. Jimmy was a native of Randolph County and retired from Covington Diesel in Greensboro. He was an assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 518, Grays Chapel. He was a member of the Julian Lions Club and Shiloh United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother Frank and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife: Ginger Jones Routh; sons: Eric and his wife Megan Routh and their children, Elam, Logan and Eliza of Climax, NC, Jason and his wife Mary Ann Routh and her children, Jordan and Dillon Waite; brothers: Wayne and his wife Nancy Routh of Liberty, NC, Leon and his wife Katherine Routh of Climax, NC; sister-in-law, Linda Routh of Liberty, NC The family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC 27317. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 7394 Shiloh Road, Liberty with Rev. Danielle Hammett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made in Lieu of flowers to Julian Lions Club, P.O. Box 21, Julian, NC 27283.
