Zena Andrews Coble

Zena “Dee” Andrews Coble, age 92, of Asheboro died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Mrs. Coble was born April 10, 1925 in Asheboro, the daughter of the late Hezekiah and Mattie Lamb Andrews.  She was a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ and formerly employed with Tie Rite, Inc.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Coble and her Step-son, Tommy Coble and seven siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Smith and her husband Joe of Wilmington; Step-daughter, Carol Edwards and her husband Bob of Asheboro; Step-son, Gene Coble and his wife Pat of Asheboro; Grandchildren, Melanie Burgess and her husband Kevin, Stephanie Kinter and her husband Steve, Karen Barnhill and her husband Mike,Cortney Hamm and her husband Josh, and Lori Stutts and her husband Tony; Great Grandchildren, Brooke and Brett Burgess and Hannah Hamm;  Sisters, Etta Mae Macon of Pleasant Garden and Dorothy Michael of Asheboro, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
