Yvonne Smith Dale

Yvonne Smith Dale, age 85, passed away on September 2, 2023.  Daughter of the late Howard "Jim" Taft Smith and Alberta Reynolds Smith, Yvonne was born on December 18, 1937, in Candor, N.C.  She worked at First Bank in Troy for 35 years. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Dale, Sr.; her son, C. Todd Davis; and her sister, Barbara Smith Russell.  She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Joyner (Jon), and her grandson, Alex C. Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Pugh Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy, with Pastor Nick Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service.  A private interment (family only) will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Troy, 401 E. Main St., Troy, NC, 27371.
