Wimburn Henry West

Wimburn H West, age 84, passed away on March 16th after a brief illness. A Randolph county native, he was born on June 6 1930 to the late William H. West and Dora Varner West. An army veteran and a man of integrity, he was devoted to his faith, his family and community. He and his wife moved to Charlotte in 2002 to be near their son. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Miller West, and his son W Henry West Jr. He is also survived by two sisters, Irene Herron of Mooresville and Mable Pike of Liberty, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hunt officiating. Entombment will be at Randolph Memorial Park.
