Willie Ruth Watson

Ms. Willie Ruth Brooks Watson, age 84, of Candor died Monday, February 11, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Mrs. Watson was born September 14, 1934 in Garner, NC the daughter of the late Richard N. Brooks and the late Mamie Lee Faison Brooks. She was a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by one son: Alan Watson (Juanita) of Wendell, NC; one daughter: Linda W. Shepard (David) of Candor, NC; three sisters: Bernice Cook of CA, Edna Fagan of Knightdale, NC and Peggy Wall of Knightdale, NC; 4 grandchildren: Crystal Watson, Wendell, NC, Michael Watson, Wendell, NC, Tiffany Haywood (Rodney), Mt. Gilead, and Katie Batten (Bradley), Troy, NC; 4 great grandchildren: Natalie Haywood, Anna Haywood, Jase Haywood, and Carter Batten.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Linda Shepard, Holly Mount Church Rd., Candor, NC. A Graveside Service will be on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Holly Mount Baptist Church, Holly Mount Church Rd., Mt. Gilead, NC, with the Rev. Ben Hall officiating.
