Willie Thomas Sykes

Willie Thomas "Tommy" Sykes, age 75, of 202 Westbury Dr., Asheboro died Friday, February 8, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy Grigsby, Joe Morgan, Joshua Evans, and Dr. Ronnie Chaney officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM on Monday at Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Sykes was a native of Alamance County and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from P. Lorillard Tobacco Company and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Alice Crumpton Sykes of the home; daughter, Betty Sykes Stevens and her husband Ricky of Pine Level, NC; grandchildren, Christina Stevens, Brittany Stevens and Chason Stevens all of Pine Level, NC; brother, Homer Sykes of Burlington, NC; sisters, Catherine Westbrook and her husband Eddie and Marion Westbrooks and her husband Frank all of Burlington, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 10, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to the Randolph Cancer Center, 713 S.
