Willie Alton Allen

Willie Alton Allen, age 92, of Asheboro, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice House. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Dan Absher officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Allen was born in the Steeds Community of Moore County on July 4, 1921 to Charlie and Meda Comer Allen. Willie served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was retired from Burlington Industries and attended Worthville Pentecostal Holiness for many years. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Tucker Allen. He is survived by his sons, Joe Allen and his wife Helen of Ramseur, Thomas Allen of Asheboro, Bill Allen and his wife Wilma of Millboro; grandsons, Chris, Craig, Casey, and Jeffery Allen; 2 great grandchildren; and sisters, Gladys Young of Jacksonville and Lois Davis of Seagrove.
