William Maxton Wright

William Maxton "Willie" Wright, age 78, of Asheboro died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Randolph Hospital. Mr. Wright was born in Asheboro on April 23, 1935 to Arthur and Zona Clark Wright. He was a graduate of Asheboro High School and was a member of Balfour Baptist Church. Willie was formerly employed as a life insurance salesman and had been employed with Black & Decker, Acme-McCrary Corporation, Rice Hosiery, and Rampon Hosiery. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 4 sisters, and grandson Stephen Wright. Willie loved sports and was an avid pool player. He is survived by his wife, Frankye Mitchell Wright; sons, Greg Wright and his wife Nan, Mark Wright and his wife Melissa; grandchildren, Brock Wright, Anna Wright, and Jonathan Wright; great grandchildren, Taylor Wright and Wyatt Wright The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 9:00-10:45 AM at Balfour Baptist Church, 1644 North Fayetteville St., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 11:00 AM at Balfour Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth L. Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
