 William Edward "Billy" Thomas, Jr., age 63, of Winston- Salem died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Thomas was born December 11, 1954 in Richmond County to William and Shirley Thomas.

He was formerly employed as a painter. Billy loved going fishing, pitching horseshoes and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Thomas and Robbie Thomas.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Kathy Suggs of Winston- Salem; daughters, Tasha Thomas of Franklinville, Brandy Woodberry and Brittany Woodberry both of Winston-Salem; sons, Travis Thomas of Franklinville, Brandon Thomas of Siler City, William Thomas of Wadesboro; sisters, Joyce York and husband Pete of Liberty, Judy White and husband Mike of Franklinville, Ann Jessup and husband Randy of Bennett, Crystal Sheville and husband John of Bennett, Karen Reiner and husband John of Goldsboro; brothers, David Thomas of Salisbury, Hammer Thomas of Newton Grove; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5629 Old Highway 109, Denton.
