William Bryan "W.B." Saunders, Jr.

William Bryan "W.B." Saunders, Jr., age 89, of Coleridge passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the home of his daughter, Judy. Mr. Saunders was born in Guilford County, NC on May 28, 1928 to William Bryan Saunders and Gladys Bennett Cowell. W.B. served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Saunders Barber Shop in Ramseur. In addition to his parents, W.B. was preceded in death by his significant other Reba Hayes. W.B. was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His quick wit and sense of humor made him a stranger to no one. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Darlene Luther and husband Ervin "Buck" Luther of Coleridge and Judy Carol Saunders and boyfriend Timothy Richardson of Coleridge; son, Alan Bryan Saunders of Coleridge; grandsons, Michael Teague and wife Rachel of Charlotte, Brandon Teague and wife Brittany of Coleridge; granddaughter, Shannon Beaver and husband Michael of Seagrove; and 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
