William Duke Robbins

William Duke "Bill" Robbins, age 61, of 1286 Saint Katherine Way, Rock Hill, SC passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Robbins was a native of Randolph County and grew up attending West Bend United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Asheboro High School where he played football and a graduate of NC State University. Mr. Robbins became employed in 1967 with Westinghouse, moved to Tampa, FL in 1982 and retired from Tampa Electric in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Carol Murphy Robbins; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Beau White of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Makayla White; parents, Duke and Nordia Robbins of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, November 30, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to West Bend United Methodist Church, P.O.
