William Joseph Richardson

William Joseph Richardson passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Billy or "Red" the eternal optimist, had never met a stranger and always had a way to make you smile or laugh. He was a very loving and giving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his wife of 45 years and his beloved dog Shorty, gardening, taking walks in the woods, and spending time with his grandchildren. Billy was owner of Richardson Floor Covering since 1965. He was a devoted family man and he will be greatly missed by all. Billy was born and raised in Seagrove, NC and married Janice Davis Richardson in 1965. He is survived by his wife Janice and their three children, Angie See and her husband, Nick of Liberty, Brad Richardson and his wife, Beth of Raleigh, and Karen Allen and her husband Bobby of Asheboro. He had five grandchildren that all adored him; Tyler and Andrea See, William and Davis Richardson, and Lacey Allen. Billy was the fourth of seven children born to the late Lacy and Carnie Richardson. He will be missed by his surviving siblings, Blythe Richardson, Doris Richardson, David Richardson, Janet Miller and Diane Richardson. A visitation will be held at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 6-8:00 pm to celebrate his life. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at New Hope Memorial Gardens in Asheboro.
