William Rudolph Pritchard

William Rudolph Pritchard, age 87, of Asheboro died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Pritchard was born June 25, 1928 the son of Ebra Elihu Pritchard and Delitha Catherine Monroe Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard was a native of Randolph County and a former truck driver for Milliken Textiles. He retired as owner and operator of Pritchard Vacuum Service in Asheboro. He loved NASCAR and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, Rudolph was preceded in death by his son: Kenneth Rudolph Pritchard; granddaughter: Cecilia Douglas; 2 great grandchildren: Madison and Rylee; siblings: Willis Pritchard, J.E. Pritchard and Yvonne Caldwell and step son: James Rodney Rutledge. He is survived by his wife: Sylvia Sue Smith Pritchard of the home; son: Jimmy (Rita) Pritchard of Piedmont, SC, their son: Matthew (Deedee) Pritchard; their grandchildren: Bolton and Bella; their 2 step grandchildren: MacKenzie (Matt) Carrier and their child, Davis; and Ryan Gromlovits; son: Randy (Becky) Pritchard of Rocky Mount, NC, their children: Stephanie Pritchard, Randy Pritchard, Jr. and Kevin Pritchard; son: William E. Pritchard of Erect, NC; his son: Mark (Janice) Lester and his children: Michael and Matthew; step grandson: Timothy James (Amanda) Rutledge of Lexington, NC; their children: Elizabeth Dezaree Rutledge, Alec Bradley Rutledge, Rainey Mae Rutledge and Lillyana Angalee Rutledge; sister: Mary Faye Shannon of Eagle Springs, NC; numerous of extended family and friends, all of whom will truely miss him. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Neill Poolel officiating. Burial will be in Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Asheboro.
