William L. "Bill" Mendenhall, age 74, of Asheboro died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
Mr. Mendenhall was born February 19, 1940 to Fred and Mary Bell Mendenhall. He was the owner/operator of Bill Mendenhall Masonry for 54 years. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Betty Brown, Pete Mendenhall and Ruth Burleson. Bill enjoyed cooking and baking.
He is survived by his wife, Judy T. Mendenhall, daughter, Deana Hazelwood and husband Tommy of High Point; son, Lee Mendenhall and wife Melanie of High Point; stepson, Michael Smith and wife Rhonda of Maggie Valley; stepdaughter, Michelle Smith of Thomasville; grandsons, Zachary and Matthew Hazelwood; step grandchildren, Cayce, Killian, Corey, and Brittany Smith; brother, Robert Mendenhall and wife Jo of Asheboro; sisters, Lelia Foust, Ruby Cox and husband Wesley, Kay Slack and her husband, Jr., and Judy Moorefield all of High Point.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
