William Henry McNeace

William Henry "Bill" McNeace, age 92, of Asheboro died Monday, November 16, 2009 at his home.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark J. Key and Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.Mr. McNeace was a native of Union, SC and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from the NC Department of Transportation and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 45 and of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a former member of the Ash-Rand Rescue Squad. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Betts McNeace. He is survived by his daughter, Priscilla Ann McNeace Smith of Asheboro, NC; granddaughters, Connie Hamilton Harris of Robbins, NC, Terrie Hamilton Stackhouse of North Wilkesboro, NC, Annette Hamilton Taylor of Whitsett, NC; great grandchildren, A'Dell, Laurel, Kenny, Kent, Bobby Lee, Christian, and Ashlyn; and great great grandchildren, Adreanna and Xzavier.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 or Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
