William Arthur Lamb

RANDLEMAN - William Arthur "Bill or Bidge" Lamb, age 74, of, Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Randleman, NC, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Lamb was born July 22, 1939 the son of Marco and Parthenia Fogleman Lamb. Mr. Lamb was a native of Randolph County and a veteran of the US Army where he received the Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter and Marksman awards. He retired from Energizer Battery, Plant II of Asheboro and was a member of the American Legion Post in Murrells Inlet SC. Bill also worked for Costco for 18 months and Sam's Club for 4 1/2 years in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is survived by his wife: Gladys Jones Lamb of the home, sons: Michael Lamb and his wife, Christina of Asheboro, NC, Johnny Morgan and his wife, Wendy of Randleman, NC , daughter: Tammy Delk and her husband Frank of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren: Taylor Lamb, Logan Lamb, Jessica Delk, Noah Delk, Meghan Cranford and her husband, Chris, Amber Potts and her husband, Frank; great grandchildren:, Emily Potts and Hailey Potts; sister: Wilma Jean Alligood and two sister in laws: Lucille Lamb and Patricia Lamb all of Randleman, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at the home of Mike and Christina Lamb at 1320 Keystone Drive, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Pastor Joe Farlow officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Pugh Funeral Home of Randleman is assisting the Lamb Family.
