William “Bill” George Klumb, Sr., age 74, of Asheboro, died Friday, October 4, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Klumb was born February 17, 1945 in Tallahassee, FL to William Marcus and Sarah Elizabeth Williams Klumb. Bill was a man of God, straight forward in thought, with a great sense of humor who loved to make those around him happy. He loved to cook for both family and friends. He was known for his Christmas breakfast, fried pork chops, homemade mashed potatoes, and pies. Bill enjoyed singing and gardening. Bill served his country in the Navy. In his final years, he loved to volunteer at the Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He is survived by; Peggy Klumb; children; Deboraha (Johnny) Lane of Kernersville, William (Brenda) Klumb, Jr. of Siler City, Ray (Robin) Klumb of Bahama, Donnie Klumb of Siler City, Keith (Nancy) Klumb of Graham, Michelle (Anthony) Trites of Archdale, Tovah (Earl) Walker of Thomasville, Serenity (Jason) Baker of High Point; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Sibling; Pat (Paul) Protzman, Linda Kilburg, Don (Penny) Klumb, Pam (William) Drake, and David Klumb; and his special canine companion, Lucy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Baptist Church, 574 Tower Road, Thomasville, with Pastor Tom Fields officiating.
