William Gary Kinney

William Gary Kinney, age 61, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Kinney was born in Davidson County on January 8, 1957 to Warren and Susie Hughes Kinney.  He worked for The Timken Company for 19 years.  Gary was preceded in death by his father, Warren Kinney, brothers, Wayne and David Kinney, and sister, Dorothy.  Gary was a hard worker who made sure his family never went without.  He loved to tinker on cars, enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and traveling to the lake.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Wilson and husband Neal of Fort Sill, OK; son, Tyler Kinney and fiancée Stephanie of Kernersville; grandchildren, Conor and Sawyer Wilson of Fort Sill, OK; brother, Alan Kinney and wife Carol of Asheboro; sister, Jane Shaw and husband Wesley of Somerset, TX; Amanda & Tyler’s mother, Deborah Thomas; and his significant other, Jackie Chriscoe.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.  The funeral will be Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Jack Kivett officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Memorial Gardens.
