William Daniel "Danny" King, age 63, of 3196 Forest Drive, Randleman died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast, Charlotte.
Mr. King was born November 7, 1946 in Charlotte, NC the son of James Henry and Willie Ann Withrow King.
Mr. King was born in Charlotte, NC and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Randleman. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and later in the Naval Reserve in Greensboro. He was a member of the Asheboro Masonic Lodge # 699, formerly employed with North State Telephone and retired from Hargray Communications in Hilton Head, SC. Danny was an avid fisherman, enjoyed photography and plucking the banjo.
He is survived by his wife: Sandra Walker King, daughter: Kim Mitchell and her husband, Tim of Fort Bragg, son: William Kristian King of Sophia, two grandchildren: Meagan Beeson and Emma Mitchell; brother: James Richard "Dick" King and his wife, Caroline of Hagerstown, MD and nephew: James Marcellus King of Walaka, FL.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 17, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 11:00 AM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating.
