William Thomas "Tom" Hunt

William Thomas "Tom" Hunt, age 64, of 610 Thayer Rd, Troy died Friday, January 30, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Mr. Hunt was born March 3, 1944 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of the late Carl James and the late Laura (Hurley) Hunt. He was a former employee of Burlington Industries. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, yard sales and loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife: Joan(Glasgow) Hunt of Asheboro; and two sons: Thomas L Hunt and wife, Donna and William J Hunt and wife Leann, both of Troy; three sisters: Carolyn Newsome, Frances Harris and husband Clayton, Evelyn Cox , all of Troy; four brothers: Jerry Wayne Hunt, Joe Reece Hunt and wife, Patty, both of Troy, Roy Lee Hunt and wife, Jackie of Denton, Hugh Dunn and wife, Becky of Troy, NC; grandchildren: Jeena Hunt of Troy, Megan Hunt of Robbins, Jeremy Oldham, Zebulan Hunt, Megan Bruton, Trevor Bruton and Carrie Bruton, all of Troy.The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home of Thomas L. Hunt of 615 Thayer Rd., Troy. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Ophir United Methodist Church, Ophir Rd., Troy with Rev. Jesse Clubb and Rev. Jack Luther officiating.
