William David Hill

William David Hill, age 80, of Asheboro died Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House.

Mr. Hill was born in Asheboro on November 15, 1934 to William Guy and Annie Apple Hill. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Kevin Hill, and brother, Jack Hill. David was a loving father and grandfather. David loved gardening and enjoyed reading and studying history.

He is survived by his children, Randy Hill and wife Tammy of Randleman, Lisa Hill Chevez of Asheboro, Todd Hill and wife Andrea of Asheboro, and Rhiannon Chhanuon and husband Sarim of Greensboro; grandchildren, Drew Frazier, Dylan Hill, Michelle Chevez, Nicholas Chevez, Debbie Carrick, Ann Carrick, and Jacob Hill; mother of his children, Barbara Hill of Wilmington; sisters, Faye Furr of Asheboro and Judy Trogdon and husband Vernon of Asheboro; and best canine friend, Cody "The Wonder Dog."

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at Faith Community Church, 4252 US Hwy 220 Business South, Asheboro with Pastor Wayne Eller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service. Inurnment will be held at the Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
