William J. Hauff

William John Hauff, 72, of 204 Legend Drive, passed away Tuesday morning, September 16, 2008 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 23, 1936 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, William was the only child of the late Andrew and Nelda Hauff. He was united in marriage to Carol Loraine Shreve on October 1, 1955. Through William's position in the manufacturing industry he and his family resided in many cities from the Midwest to the northeast, finally settling in North Carolina in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loraine, their children, Susan Garren of Asheboro, NC, Andy Hauff of Ramseur, NC, Sam Hauff of Randleman, NC, Sally Priddy of Colbert, OK, Joe Hauff of Charleston, SC, Martie Hauff of Ramseur, NC, and Sheryl Mortenson of Sacramento, CA and their spouses. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. At William's request there will be no public memorial services held, only a small gathering of immediate family. In lieu of flowers donations to further research and a cure for cancer are greatly appreciated.
