William Max Frazier, 82 of Asheboro, North Carolina, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his home surrounded by family.
A memorial service will be held at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 4:30 pm with Rev. Tommy Kidd officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 pm-4:15 pm.
Mr. Frazier was born on April 16, 1935 in Statesville, North Carolina to the late Aaron Grant and Mary Angiline Garrison Frazier.
Mr. Frazier attended Statesville City Schools. He served three years in the United States Marine Corps and held engineering degrees from North Carolina State University and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Max was a retired civil-environmental engineer.
Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by his first wife, Lula Dishman Frazier; grandson, Benjamin Max Blanton; sister, Martha Evaline King; brothers in law, Charles King and Charles Alonzo Fox, Sr.
Mr. Frazier is survived by his wife, Vickie Allred Frazier of Asheboro; children, Elizabeth Ann Blanton and husband Bill Koch of Fairfax, Virginia; John Andrew Frazier and wife Kathy of Macon, Georgia; Kristopher Nelson Julian and wife Amanda of Asheboro, North Carolina; sister, Marjorie June Fox and family of Statesville, North Carolina; brother, Joseph Harry Frazier, Gainesville, Florida; grandson, Samuel Reuben Blanton; granddaughter, Emma Grace Julian; Bea Hood and family, Roger Ruiz and Daniel Ruiz and family.
