William Henry Ellison

William Henry Ellison, Sr., age 71, of Sophia died Friday, January 14, 2011 at his home. Mr. Ellison was a native of Bland County, Va. and employed by Loflin Dairy in Sophia. William enjoyed watching NASCAR and college football games. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and dedicated his life to working and helping others. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Ellison, brother, Arthur Ellison, sister, Mae Ellison and great grandson, Jaxon Beaver. He is survived by his wife: Ann Ellison, of the home; son: William Ellison, Jr. of Statesville, daughters: Elaine Ellison and Sandra Ellison both of Sophia; sisters: Elizabeth Deyton and her husband, Roy of Lewistown, MD, Peggy Ellison of Ceres, VA; brothers: Alvis Ellison of Wytheville, VA, and William W. Ellison, Jr. and his wife, Louise of Sophia; Grandchildren, Jeffrey Ellison and his wife, Amy, Mark Conley-Ellison, Sabrina Cox, Nathaniel Blankenship and Katherine Chriscoe. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating.
