William Glenn Brady, age 89, of Randleman died Monday, August 27, 2018 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
Mr. Brady was born April 26, 1929 the son of William Colon and Vertie Saunders Brady.Glenn was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He retired from Commonwealth Hosiery in Randleman with 40 years of service. He had a passion for singing old country songs and playing his guitar. Glenn enjoyed long days of fishing and was a coin collector. He loved buying, selling and trading of antiques. In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his son Mark Brady, grandson Steven Brady, brother David Brady and sisters Lois Brady, and Brenda Brady.
He is survived by his sons: Anthony Brady and wife Sherry of Sophia, and Jeffrey Scott Brady of Asheboro; grandchildren: Pamela Myers of Winston-Salem, Chris Hunter and wife Lisa of Denton; step-grandchildren Jason Reeder of Asheboro and Mindy Teschner and husband Jason of Asheboro; 9 great grandchildren; siblings: Martha Smith and husband Arthur of Siler City, Wiley Brady and wife Anita of Coleridge, June Branson of Asheboro, and Phyllis Leonard and husband Reciel of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 3:00-3:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Temple Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklinville with military rites performed by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
