William "Bill" Maness, age 63, of Asheboro died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church, 1810 Old Farmer Road, Asheboro with Dr. Brent Tysinger and Rev. Alvin Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Maness was born in Asheboro on December 21, 1951 to Joe Arlie and Mildred Swaney Maness. He was a 1970 graduate of Asheboro High School. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Sullivan Surveying in Cary. He was a member of Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Joe Maness.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Maness; daughters, Alicia "Ali" Maness of the home, Amber Moore and husband Dekotah of Siler City, Hannah Maness of the home; grandchildren, Lily and Aiden Moore; sisters, Amy "Darlene" Maness of Boone, Lisa Maness Moore of Siler City, and Lora Maness Sierra of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at his home.
