William Lewis Ashworth

William Lewis Ashworth, age 90, of 115 Sumner Place, Franklinville died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Universal Health Care Of Ramseur, Ramseur.Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 2:30 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Johnson and Rev. Josh Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Mr. Ashworth was a native of Montgomery County and was a retired Railroad Sction Foreman. He was a member of Asbury Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Owens Ashworth. He is survived by one son, James Lewis Ashworth of Franklinville; daughter and son-in-law, Annie Jane & Darrell Beck of Ramseur; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Hunt of Asheboro, Violet Rush of Asheboro, Myrtie Ray of Sneeds Ferry.The family will receive friends Friday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, other times at 7357 US Hwy. 220 Business S., Asheboro.
