Willard Edgar Peters

Willard Edgar Peters, age 80, of Asheboro died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A private memorial service will be held. Mr. Peters was a native of St. Louis, MO and a U. S. Marine veteran of WWII. He was the former owner and operator of Peters Body Shop for 20 years in Cahokia, IL. After moving to Asheboro, Mr. Peters was a machine operator at Asheboro Elastics Corporation and was a Wal-Mart greeter. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Peters Flowers and her husband Corey of Asheboro, LeDonna Peters Moore and her husband Greg of Asheboro, Brenda Baez of IL, Cheryl Peters of IL; sons, Willard Edgar Peters, Jr. and his wife Susan of Glen Saint Mary, FL, Frank Dee Peters of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jordan Cassidy of Asheboro, Amanda Thompson of Conway, SC, Jessica Dixon of Troy, Aaron, Justin, Ally and Jacob Julian of Asheboro, Tommy, Shawn and Caytlyn Peters of Glen Saint Mary, FL, Ashley Pasour of Asheboro, Janice, Sarah and Rachel Peters of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Mason and Jaden Dixon of Troy, Candice Thompson of Conway, SC. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. If sending flowers, please have them delivered to the homes of the family.
